Pardon the ignorance here, but I just can't quite seem to figure out what TQC is. I've tried several combinations of google searches, some with shaving and even Colleen, but all to no avail. Anyone mind posting a URL, or at least un-abbreviating it for me?

TGQ = The Gentleman's Quarter.
Look in the Vendor's corner for a 500+ post thread called "Colleen's Soap" You'll find all you need to know there.
Also she's opened up a webshop at www.thegentlemensquarter.com

Wow, you are NOT KIDDING about Colleen's soaps! I used the "Leatherneck" shave soap today and it fattened up my brush like nobody's business. My brush was heavily laden with rich, luxurious, lovely-smelling lather! It's making me look forwards to my next shave.

Hi there,
Yeah....the Leatherneck is something special. I can't for the life of me describe the scent of it to others, but I love it. Used it just yesterday as a matter of fact.
You'll find the same performance with whatever others you ordered. Hehe, I hope you included some of her 'Bay Rum' w/ sweet orange oil. Used that today and whewwwww.
Those two soaps are a part of my small weekly rotation, and nice decision on your part in trying her things. As a side note, she is a 'highly motivated' individual, as are you.
Glad to see you progressing on your shaving journey,
Martin
Ohhhhhhhhhh, I also wanted to mention another soap I sincerely hope Colleen offers again soon. That would be "coconut cream', which was offered as a summer special. That was THE best coconut shaving soap I have ever tried. Just the perfect coconut version for my nose. The lather even seemed more luxurious somehow............sigh.

Thanked: 3Umm, Topher, I was still laughing about how awesome the line about Saidin was until you said that. He already has died. Lost a battle to some strange blood disease. His wife (who has edited all the books so far) is going to edit the last book written by a different author. Also, although I have no proof, I'm positive he shaved with a straight razor.

Thanked: 1Totally agree with the original post. I had the exact same experience. One of these days when I get time I will write a review of these. I think for a few bucks it might be worth Tony including them in his kit. They totally moved my shave from a bit of an ordeal to an utter pleasure. My face would burn and go dry with the original soap, then with Colleen's I only lathered once and no burn afterward and a closer shave.
Her cust service is top notch too. I had some problem with my e-mail and she actually sent me my soaps before I'd even paid her!
