Glen can go into a LOT more detail but an uberlather is usually a mixture of soap a cream and Glycerin is much more thick and wonderful than a regular lather

Well, I have extremely hard water and I get fantastic lathers from anything I use, including Mitchell's Wool Fat which is infamous for being a finicky latherer. . . with enough practice you'll be able to lather anything.

As for soaps that last a while - anything triple milled should do the trick.

I have a lot of other shaving soaps in packages on the shelf. They are gathering dust. Since I discovered Cavendish Black, I've not used any other. All the soap that's just lyng there, is 'designer' soap. I quit Williams and Colgate years ago.

    Colleen's soap lasts well, too!

    TGQ...TWO thumbs up!

I agree on the Cavendish Black. It's the only TGQ soap I've tried so far, and I will continue to order it!

I like the classic soaps but they go fast. I'd guess 45-60 shaves for me. Haven't used them in a while though.
