That's because it IS the high end stuff. It's made by Creighton's, same people who make T&H creams. And The Real Shaving Company cream (which is almost identical to TBS< down to the scent).
I am a huge fan of this cream, it could very well be my favorite (though Florena is giving it some serious competition). The scent is very fresh and springy, and the lather can't be beat.
Also, biazottipaulo, adding water to make your lather more lubricating is what you're SUPPOSED to do...so good job!

Thanked: 18maca root
I have the body shop cream scented with maca root. Its a grassy like smell. Is that what you guys are talking about. The body shop by me told me that they used to have a different scent but maca root is the only one sold right now in the us. I think the older scent was sandalwood.

I was walking around a local mall this afternoon and found a Body Shop outlet. Curious after reading this thread I found a large cache of the sandalwood smelling shaving cream. The price was right, 3 bucks for the tube and 4 bucks for the tubs, so i picked up a few of each. Personally, I love the smell and can't wait to use it.
On another note, I would never have guessed that I would be thrilled to be walking around the mall with a Body Shop bag in my hand.
Peace and Blessings,
AMDG

I think they got rid of the good stuff and now have some vegetable variety. ****ed me off so much I didn't even want to hear about it.
Went on ebay and bought a few for backup.
May have to do a Body Shop run and see if anyone have some left.

From a "functionality" stand point I'm not sure how the newer Maca Root shaving cream compares to its predecessor. Personally, I love the smell of the latter, I can't put my finger on what it is but it reminds me of incense at Mass.
Ron, if you are desperate enough to get some more of the old stuff I can check back at the outlet and ship you whatever they have. I know how attached I can get to specific products I love. Heck.. I still buy Ketchup Chips on Ebay because I fell in love with them in Montreal.
