    Default Anyone Use Gold Dachs?

    Gentlemen,

I used Gold Dachs once upon a time — and promised myself not to ever use it again.

One cannot deny the quality of the soap: good lather, smooth glide, and ample moisture. I loved the fragrance. Except that the soap set my Hollywood face on fire. I was burning throughout the shave. Gold Dachs and Musgo Real both needed the fire department. I used them a few times and then surrendered. No, thank you.

What's more, Gold Dachs is too expensive. I do not think it is worth the money. Not for me, anyway. Also, the vendor sent mine in a travel can that must have gone through a couple of wars and that the only thing missing was the bullet hole. For heaven's sake.

    Regards,

    Obie

I've noted these comments from various people. I also had problems with Musgo, but I guess if Gold Dachs doesn't do well for me either, it will go on the for sale forum faster than my feet touch the ground

    Kind regards,
That's exactly my experience too. I always thought I was the only one. I tried to really love the soap due to all the raves but whatever I tried it provided no cushioning and protection whatsoever. I always ended up with small tiny cuts using that soap.

    Big disappointment for me.

I found GD to be one the most underwhelming soaps I've ever encountered. Perhaps I had too great of expectations but the lather was sub-par: not very slick, limited cushion and caused slight irritation. Tried it a dozen or so times but never got satisfactory results. The puck sat for a year or so and then was given to a noob.

I didn't like it either despite really trying to. I gifted to someone after four tries.
