I sent you a PM, I got a few samples with my last order and you are in the neighbor hood.
Yes this stuff likes water and likes to be thick, when you get it wet like you want keep on mixing and this stuff will get rich and creamy.
It takes me an extra minute to lather this stuff up compared to a few other soaps but it is worth itIt is just Whisker Whacking
Relax and Enjoy!

I loved the scent on this stuff when I had it, I just always had trouble building a nice lather out of it. I adore his aftershaves and colognes, though.
Cheers,
Nathan

Thanked: 23I have shaved a half dozen times with the bay rum soap, and like it as I do the after shave and cologne. John is a super person with whom to deal and his products are first rate. The soap is terrific, and I am not a soap user most of the time. This soap holds its own against any creams in my rotation.

This is really helpful to know! I've been using Ogallala lime/peppercorn soap for maybe a month now and have been using it too dry, and not whipping it up as much as needed.
I am learning that adding water, kind of counter-intuitively to me at least, doesn't necessarily thin out a good lather but seems to make it richer.
(As an aside, I like having a good Nebraska company like John's to support!)Steve
