Thanked: 18Shaving sticks.
I was wondering if a shaving stick could be grated down to put in a bowl. I am on the list at superlather for the irisch moos stick. I have never used a stick but i like wipping up lather in a bowl so i can make it warm. I no that with a stick you are supposed to build the lather on your face. Im sure it will work just fine if i take it out of the case that it comes in and melt it down into a bowl or use a cheese grater of some sort. has anyone ever tried this?

Yes I did... I grated the stick with a cheese grater and put it in a bowl.. I tried to melt it first but that doesn't work with all soaps..

With IM you'll need to grate it, melting won't work.
There are plenty of threads about this. This one for example.
