Thread: Classic shaving soap

I have had a hard time building a good lather in a mug with CS soap, I have even taken the extra step of adding glycerin to no real avail, but I took some advice here and tried face lathering and it improved somewhat. I recently bought a tube of C.O. Bigelow cream and it's like night and day! Now I know what real lather, at least I think, should be and will invest is some other products that are recommended here. Alas, I feel the CS soap shall remain relatively unused.

Thanked: 10I bought 4 pucks of Classic. Should of known there was a thread about it on this forum lol. The Classic dries up before you can start shaving and doesnt foam up very good. To get rid of the classic and get awsome uberlather, I mix the Classic with Kiss My Face shave creame. I Love KMF.

Thanked: 0This is a very old thread.
CSS bay rum was my first soap when I stated a little over a year ago. I liked it and purchased another six pucks about two months ago. I like it and maybe the reason is because I don't know any difference.
However, I've read newer threads here and over on reddit about how they have improved their product...maybe it's not as bad as it used to be... Cheers.
