Do I need to say any more?
Guys, when you order from Cambridge tell Scott that you are a member of the shaving forums, i.e. SRP or B&B and you will receive 10% off and free shipping! I would recommend for those who like C&S 88, give Oxford & Cambridge a try, it's a lavender scent that is incredible. As far as the colognes go, Dark Rose is out of this world followed by No. 88 and Cuba. Scott is a great guy at Cambridge and knows his products VERY well.

Haven't seen this thread in a while......

This is actually quite timely. After taking a break and using a rotation of my other soaps, I recently came back to my dish of Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood soap for the last couple of weeks. I was a little hestitant about it as I've been using Tabac, Castle Forbes and others for the last couple months (yes, I have quite a few soaps that if I cycle through my collection every week or so it does take a while to get back to the beginning). The verdict: I was very surprised at the quality lather produced, just as I remembered. For a hard soap it is very easy for me to make lather as well, which surprises me as I've used some much softer soaps lately that seem to take a lot more work to lather than the TOBS. Go figure.

So I am recommending this to anyone interested in English shaving soaps.
Is it the best soap in the world? Probably not, but it performs very well for me.

PS - Yes Seraphim, I know you will disagree with me about TOBS. But before the Williams comparisons come out again please remember that the lather I produce from it is made with my particular water, brush type, individual lathering technique, etc.

Additionally, Scott is working on providing a 3 pack of the travel soaps and a small atomizer of cologne in a group price. Nothing firm yet but he is working on it.

To be honest, TOBS was my first ever soap, so I may very well have been partly to blame for the poor lathering I experienced.....

Honestly you should give it another shot, you may be pleasantly surprised. It isn't as good as Tabac, but I was pleased with its performance as of late. But then again, like I said before, maybe its just the water around here. I've had less luck with some soaps most members swear by, so I'll admit that maybe it's just me

Nah, that ship has sailed. Jut today I ordered C&S 88, and tallow based Trumpers Rose. I shan't be consorting with the likes of TOBS anytime soon. "Fool me once..." and all that...

(But I may pick up some AOS lavendar if I'm looking for that scent....)
