That's the real beauty of this whole wet shaving phenom. A bunch of guys go maverick and try something different and everybody benefits. If you tried it and it didn't work out, we'd have data. You tried it and it worked and we have the data.

The cause is advanced a notch and wet shaving is moved forward.

    Way to go heretic.

    Default Pears (NEW) soap...

    A bit of an update:

Unilever now own Pears and have significantly changed the ingredients.

Thought I'd have a go at shaving with it this morning in place of my Mitchells Wool Fat Soap:

    1) Applied hot water to face,
    2) Soaked boar brush,
    3) Wet end of the Pears soap in hot water,
    4) Rubbed bar of soap over face,
    5) Face lathered with boar brush (occasional dip in water)

    Result:

More lather than by any other method.
VERY smooth shave using a Joseph Rodgers 6/8 full wedge.
    NO NICKS!! NO CUTS!!
    Lather didn't dry out.
    Nice shave, nice smell.

I will definitely be trying this again.
At only £0.65p a bar, this could work out very cheap!
