Thanked: 1Looking for 3 people to go in on soaps.
I'm a newbie, and just bought my first shave soap. (a puck of UHD from walgreens, 2 bucks) I figured I could practice with it to make a lather.
I really would like to try a sample of each of TGQ's scents. So if anyone would be interested I was thinking about getting a 1 oz bar of each, cutting it into 4 pieces so that we could try all of them for about 25 bucks or so, whatever the cost and shipping comes out to.
I'd just melt my 1/4th and use it that way.
Anyone interested in this, let me know
Oh and i'm open to suggestions, like if those interested would like to get a puck of tabac or another favorite also let me know.

Thanked: 317The other thing you might consider, is that TGC offers 1/2oz bars already, and they cost less than half the cost of the 1oz bars. 1/4 ounce really isn't enough to get a good feel for IMO. A 1/2oz bar on the other hand, should last you through enough shaves to really get a feel for the soap.
Also, if you read the descriptions, you will be able to eliminate half the scents right off the bat. I purchased 1/2oz samples of all the scents that sounded good, and I'm glad I did. Several of them really needed a few shaves to make my mind up about. Not that any of their scents are bad, but I doubt very seriously that anybody other than Mike could actually like all of TGQ's soaps.
(sorry Mike, couldn't resist)

Thanked: 1looks like you can get 3, 1, and 1/2 samples of every soap on there. I'm pretty sure that most would agree that 1/4 oz of soap would last you for enough shaves to to see if you like the scent or not. I'm assuming that all her soaps are going to basically feel and lather about the same, so after the first sample your basically going to be testing the smell not the glide, and lather.
Maybe mike and those that are already tgq fans, would be interested in something like this. He could experiment by taking a 1/4 of leatherneck and 1/4 lime and mixing it together? just a thought
If it dosen't work out i'll just get a few 1/2 oz bars, just didn't know if anyone would be interested in my idea.

Check out "The Shave Den" They have samples for you to try, or at least they did.
Colleen's samples or TGQ didn't work to well for me, not to say they won't for you...We have assumed control !
