Thanks G I'll add it to the list.

speaking of proraso I tried o.c. bigelow and was wondering if anyone else had the same tingling feeling while applying it? I just got it and have only used it once, I faced lathered and while doing this noticed a slight tingling. I didn't know whether this was some sort of "invigorating action" or allergic reaction!

It was a nice shave it took forever though since I kept waiting for the mild tingling to progress into an intense burning. Never happened in the end no redness no hives so I'm guessing it was suppose to do that but there was nothing in the ingredients that looked like it would have this effect. They should really state things like that on the label

Sorry man, the ONLY place I know to get it is www.superlather.com, unless you have friends in Germany!

    Thanks Doc,

I thought menthol had a numbing and then cooling affect when you rinsed, which it did but the tingling was extra and unexpected. As long as I'm not alone in having this happen to him I'll be able to enjoy my next shave without worry.

Enough menthol will provide a tingling sensation. It might become less if you get used to it, but it'll remain. Years ago I had a shower gel with menthol. Interesting, so to speak.

Ah yes, I seem to remember a shampoo that had the same head on fire effect. The "interesting" part came when I rinsed it out and it ran into my eyes!

Agreed that is the Menthol. It's a fairly strong amount of Menthol but it sure feels good. Bigelow bought the rights to make Proraso/Omega from the company in Italy. They did tinker with the formula a little from their own admission. Just enjoy it it's not an allergic reaction just good ol Menthol:-)

Superlather is still out, as of today, unfortunately. Before Superlather had it, the only place to get it was The Dutch Shaving Shop in the Netherlands, owned by a great guy named Paul Kox. He carries just about everything imaginable for shaving, and is actually a functioning barber shop. Guys drop by and get a shave when they're in town. I want to go there! Anyway, shipping certainly is a factor, but you can, as far as I know, still get the Irisch Moos Soap and Shaving Cream online from this source. Before Mark at Superlather started selling it, everybody at SMF and B&B who really wanted IM products were getting it from Paul Kox. The Shaving Cream is very good, as is the soap. In order to buy it from The Dutch Shaving Shop, you should send Paul an email through the website, telling him what you want. He'll email you back, give you a paypal address so you can pay, and then he sends it.
