I have started using the uberlather receipt. I use a soap (I have a couple different ones) as well as a cream from the shave den, combined with glycerin from Walmart and C.O. Bigelow from bath and body works. Whips into a monster lather!

This is a way to make two products of low to moderate performance perform like a good one. This is not needed when you use high end product and you seldom see people building uberlather with, let's say Castle Forbes, although it happens from time to time. Same as with mixed drinks, you do not often see people using well aged spirits or expensive wines, it does not mean it would not work but people do not commonly use Dom Perignon 1996 for Mimosas ;-).

    Hi you all,
I think that uberlather enhances the properties of average products and average shavers. It seems that high end soaps and creams are rich, wet and soft enough to obtain great shavings easily.
I am a newbie and quite better lathering than shaving. I think that uberlather helps me to shave better due to my lack of skills and, of course is much funnier.
Next time I will try a top of the shelf cream and I will get conclusions.
    Concerns, please.
    Regards

I always combine soap , cream and Glycerine. I guess it's just what I do.

Superlather rocks!! I recently tried Trumper's coconut soap with D R Harris Arlington SC, the smell was very summery, and of course the lather and subsequent shave was awesome.

    Well worth a try

I'm happy with my soaps the way they are. No uber required.
