Ultra Shave?
Has anyone used this product called Ultra Shave? Searching google for it comes up with a few reviews. Mostly really good things are said. It sounds essentially like a shave 'lotion' that you don't use water with. Read the reviews online for more info on the product.
Anyway, has anyone used it? It sounds like something that I would really enjoy. I know it cuts down on the whole romance of straight shaving- the brush, prep, etc.- but I'd be into that for 'hurried' shaves. I look forward to hearing more about this.

I assume that you read Corey's blog post
on the product:

I haven't tried it myself, but one of the
problems I've found with brushless cremes
is that they do dry out on the skin, and it
is a pain to re-wet the skin with my hands.
This product, not using water, obviously
would not have that problem.

hmmmm only seems to be available in the U.K at the moment I wouldn't mind trying it just to see.
Maybe one of our members on the other side of the "pond" could fill us in on its performance?!

I'm someone who actively enjoys lathering up in a bowl with a brush, so this product would not appeal to me.

Thanked: 190Straight Shavers left these products behind when they made the switch to the proven shaving soaps and creams specifically tested and proven for straight shaving.
That is why you may not hear much from SRP members about this product. You can always test it out and give a review on SRP.

Well I PM'd paydepst/mark at superlather.com asking if he would be willing/able to do a small order of it so people interested could try so we'll see what happens w/ that.
I think it would be worth a try at least, probably not an everyday shave but maybe for travel or in a rush like alex mentioned.
Only thing I'm worried of is your not supposed to rinse your blade. You just keep it built up in the razor and it keeps working the product into your skin and renewing the barrier. That may work w/ a DE or cartridge but a str8t can hold a lot of lather wondering if this will effect the performance?
I'm willing to try it but £12-18 ($20-40) is a alot for any soap/cream we'll see if mark can work his magic

Awesome! I'll definitely be in to try it. I don't think a straight would be a problem with it. Without rinsing the blade the lather would still be right along the edge of the razor, so in theory I think it could work the same way. If all falls through, I'll look into buying some myself to try when I have extra cash to spend on a shaving cream that may not work. lol
