I want free soap and cream.
Not really, but I would like to let Nancy smell them.
Kind of a pay-it-forward thing.
Y'all may have done this already......
What do you think of the idea of starting a list here of soaps and creams you don't want or have a small portion of that you could send me at no cost.
Three or four weeks would get it all here and I would then let Nancy (and me) smell them and then send the whole kit and kaboodle to the next shaver to do the same. It would move much faster after that I would guess. Give 'em all a sniff, send them on, and order what I like for a shave test.
I'd list the pay-it-forward on a separate thread and fit it all in a Priority Mail Flat Rate Box. $11 to see a bunch of different soaps and creams.
Well, what do you think? Crazy, good idea.......

I would say that I would have liked this back in January when I first started. However, I've spent so much money on soaps and creams that I feel like all noobs should have to do the same... Instead of paying it forward, it's kinda like paying your dues

I only live about an hour from Asheville. If you wanted to meet somewhere for like lunch or something I could bring a lot of soaps/creams for you to sniff.
Of course I would be inside having lunch while you did it. You can explain to the cops what you are doing.
Just a thought,
Ken.

No worries! I certainly understand the sentiment.
Nancy already thinks I'm nuts with the straight razor. Until I can prove to her it is worth more than disposables, discussions on buying a bunch of expensive soap should probably be left on the back burner. I'm not unhappy with my normal bar soap - Sappo Hill Old Fashioned Oatmeal glycerine cream soap - smells like oatmeal cookies, but the überlather it 'aint.
