Thank you. So I guess I get to try it and see what all the fuss is about.

Currently the stand outs of the samples is Nancy Boy, Grafton and 1445 for smell.
Not to hip on the Ogallala, but I am still trying to suss it out.

Thanked: 1When John Marquis from Ogallala sent me an invoice for my order of the Bay Rum Bonanza and the shaving soap sampler, the amount was too low to include the soap sampler. Darn said i to myself, he did not include the soap. Well I received my order today and the soap was a gift. Thank you Ogallala. Their service has been great and I hope i like it as much as what people write on the forum.

Great company and great stuff I'd say...but of course I'm a BIG fan of supporting folks from the heartland of the USA!
I ordered the Bay Rum Shaving Soap and got 2 gifts from John -- 2 generous samples of their other soaps -- One was Bay Rum Lime and Peppercorns (which I haven't tried yet) and the other Creamy Bay Rum & Sweet Orange (which I used this morning). They all have great aromas, and I found the one I've used so far lathered nicely with a little attention to the amount of soap and the amount of water. I use an old Pre de Provence can to gather the soap, and then a Dirty Bird scuttle to whip it up. It was great and lasted, with a little refresh of water through my FIRST WHOLE FACE SHAVE (sorry to shout, I'm very happy). Other than a bad case of SRAD, I am really enjoying treating myself to this new addiction.
I highly recommend dealing with Ogallala! They make some great products. The full sized Bay rum puck is 4.5 oz., and the "samples" are 1 oz. mini pucks. Great customer oriented company!
By the way, I ordered from this site: The World's Largest Bay Rum Website (and they are in Nebraska, not Oklahoma).Last edited by Haroldg48; 09-11-2013 at 03:44 PM.
