Acca Kappa 1869 Almond shaving cream.

Imo, it's in another league than Cella.
One of the best scented Almond creams is Truefit&Hill. It smells like Amaretto. Acca Kappa smells more like frangipane pastry, which is nice if you like Almond, but not as nice as Amaretto, of course.
But when it comes to performance, Acca Kappa easily measures up to top creams like Caraceni Domenico and Castle Forbes.

I quite like the scent of TOBS almond shave cream, and although it is the only almond that I have tried, I would say it was far from 'medicinal,' and has a pleasant scent.

My first try was Cella, and so far only. Smells pleasant (not horribly sweet or anything) and in the final leather it's just a hint. Great lather though, a pleasant shaving soap.

Never tried Acca Kappa as I have used Cella and P160 for years but thanks for the heads up. Curious, is it a cream soap like Cella or more of a standard shaving soap? Couldn't find out much off their site except they're proud of it

I got allergic to it half way through the jar, but my favorite was TOBS Almond SC.

I love the pastry sweet almond of valobra soft almond.

Cella is a great soap but it's not bery almondey on scent.

Yeah Cella is very light on scent while P160 has to left to air out for a month.

Beware: I'm not talking about their 1869 Almond Shaving soap, which I haven't tried.

But I was referring to their 1869 Almond shaving Cream, which has a typical "creamy" texture. It's available in tubes and tubs.

Just making sure we're talking about the same product.

    Kind regards,
    Bart.

    Bart,

Thanks for clearing that up. At $20 for the cream I might give it a go one day. I just can't believe they are asking $98(with bowl of course) for the soap... wow!
