There where some rumors about them being reformulated, but they still contain tallow, this post over at SMF includes a reply from D.R Harris.

I love both Harris Soap and MWF. The Harris soap lathers more easily but I find the MWF to be a little more moisturizing and protective. MWF and two Harris soaps (Arlington and Marlborough) have a steady spot in my rotation along with several other tallow soaps. The soap I reach for on a particular day depends on my mood.

Exactly my feelings. Thanks for summarizing.

I have the Arlington soap and have found it to be wonderful. Personally, I could care less about tallow....as long as they perform up to snuff!

DR Harris is solid. One of my favorites. As most know from other posts, I hate MWF. I'm going to keep the dish and put another (better) soap in there.

I've tried Dr Harris Almond and Arlington. They provide a more effortless lather than MWF, but not as moisturizing or protective in my opinion.

DR Harris soaps are much easier to lather, but a bit less in other areas. I like em both and both are worth having.

Have you tried the Sandalwood aftershave? Very nice!

DR Harris soaps will last around 12 months when used daily. I much prefer them to MWF, in latherability, flexibility, longevity, and scent. Only category the MWF wins is for the nifty ceramic container.
