Thanked: 293Ok, I finally got around to doing a face lather with just cream. No problem. I like it better than a bowl. I don't own a scuttle so I can't speak to the (dis)advantages of that method, but as long as what I'm doing currently works I don't see any need for a scuttle.
Wet the brush, jammed some Bigelow cream down in the center of it, wet my face with hot water, and got to swirling. All I needed to do was add a little bit of water for better lather as I went on and it was great. Also, one may make the argument that it's a little bit more cost-effective since you're not leaving anything in the bowl (but since when were any of us concerned about cost effectiveness?).
Good call, Obie.

I'm face lathering a lot these days too and it also helps lift those whiskers and get some soap underneath them.
