They're a little different but not by much.
The soap bowl is more like a very soft soap and isn't as heavy on the menthol.
The cream, on the other hand, is, well, a cream.

They are identical. After I learned this I started making my own soap. I just buy cream and leave the top off. A few days later you have soap.

You can never have too much Proraso! FWIW, I always take the green bowl with me when I travel. The lid can double as a makeshift lather bowl.
