    Default TGQ Soap and Containers

Hey everyone! I was just looking through TGQ for soaps and found some I'd like to get. I just had a couple of questions before I do so.

What do you all usually put these soaps in? Do you buy the 3oz bowls on the site? If not, did you find another 3oz bowl somewhere that they fit in or did you have to get a totally different container and grate or melt the soap into it?

Just looking for a nice, presentable, usable, but also affordable way to store the soaps. Since I have SSAD I can't avoid buying soaps but I can try and minimize the cost.

    Thanks for all the help!

I put mine in some vintage mugs. You can find Old Spice shave mugs in antique stores or on eBay for a few dollars each. The 3oz. pucks fit snugly in them.

1 cup size Pyrex bowls (they come with lids) available at WalMart work great.

I use the Wal Mart small Pyrex bowls. They have plastic lids too, which makes it nice for strorage....I have melted many soaps before on low in the microwave so the fit and adhere to the bottom, otherwise they just spin the first few times. It had no adverse affects on the soap that I know of.....Some soap vendors actually recommend this...

I've got the bowl from the site, it's really pretty, and cheap also (and AOS pucks fit on it, wich is a plus).

glass sugar/ candy containers from the dollar store work really well also, I double boiler method to melt the soaps in but that is not really required.

I believe her soaps will fit into a standard 3" shaving bowl. She sells them for a reasonable price. I got a few on eBay.
