Thanked: 530Cavendish Black.. Irritant?
So, I've heard from somewhere that TGQ's Cavendish Black is good as long as you don't have sensitive skin... Well, I had a small sample of it (Thanks, Delirium) and I like the scent, but had fairly bad razorburn after -although, I used too much pressure, so I don't know if that caused it)
So, Since I'm working on my next round of soaps, I'm wondering, those of you who have TGQ Cavendish black, is it an irritant? Does it bother sensitive skin? (which I have... Not tissue paper sensitive, but still somewhat sensitive) or is it just a great smelling pile of slick lather?
Note, this is for the SOAP. Not the CREAM
If I don't get Cavendish (if it actually does irritate pansy skin) I'll probably go with Leatherneck... Anyone have experience with that?

I've have the Leatherneck and have had not problems with it the smell is great but I'll have to say after 26 years with the United States Marine Corps I'll tell ya Marines don't smell anything like that.

I love TGQ Cavendish Black and it doesn't hurt my skin at all.
I would say what you should try is this:
Whip up some CB lather and put a little on your neck in the area where you shave and let it sit for a minute or five. Rinse it off like you would after a shave and see if it irritates your skin without the shave.
It does affect some folks but very few as I recall.

Like others have said, I have no idea how to describe it other than that I like it. I've never tried CB but I hear it's awesome and would like to try it. Maybe I'll get a sample of it sometime.
Might ask for a sample of Leatherneck from someone or buy a sample or 1oz from TGQ when you get the CB.

I have used both soaps and they are both exquisite scents. It is true that for me a few uses of the CB makes my skin tingle. Not so the leatherneck. I have a sample of the CB cream and although it doesn't irritate my skin the same way, it also doesn't quite smell the same either. The only way to know for sure is to try it for yourself. I doubt you'll regret it. I don't.
It's warm, slightly vanilla and slightly musky with citrus undertones. A must for me.
