expected life of a soap
hello all,
so my problem is this, i have been spending alot of time deployed lately and i have a bunch of soaps back home in the states, mostly mama bears, i was just wondering if anyone knew the expected shelf life of shaving soap. does it go bad or should it be ok sitting around for about 6-8 months?
thanks

The scent might go away but it will be functional for decades.

Expected life of a soap
Hello, Sinnfein:
In that number of months, if the soap is unopened, or has the lid tightly secured, it might lose some of the scent, but I don't believe all. Everything else about the soap should be fine.

Maybe you can get some small vials of EO and take that with you. When the soap looses it's fragrance you can add a drop or two.

A soap maker once told me a year, and yes, it may loose some of the fragrance.

I rotate around 8 soaps and I keep them all covered and some I have over a year and they are fine and haven't lost any scent. Without covers though you will loose a lot of the scent.

I have some Cella which has been sat in an open bowl for about 7 months and has not lost any of its almond scent.
