    Default XPEC on the way!

Finally, ordered my XPEC straight from their online store in the UK. I have high XPECtations from this one due to Robin's review done not so long ago and he claims it to be better than Castle Forbes, with an interesting peppery citrus scent. Can't wait. The only English soap I have ever liked is MWF.

£26 delivered to my door. So this is the best price I have found for it so far....

Anyone else round here tried it, or just Robin and the 1 or 2 comments on his review?

I'll be sure to have contributed my ratings to the review by Wednesday or so and I've also tried CF amongst many others to compare it to..

Arrived! Rose scent, interesting. I've never tried a rose shaving cream or soap so I wouldn't know how it compares to Trumpers Rose, say, but its definitely the star of the show in terms of scent. Not a bad thing, I'll know more once I've tested it. I'm just a little surprised as I was expecting something like Blenheim Bouquet or certainly a predominantly citrus smell! It's was so unexpected too, for the packing is tres modern and the scent is rather old fashioned, quite nostalgic. I was expecting a trendy new smell!

What else is unusual is that this is apparently tripple milled! I thought that meant it was solid as a rock! This is a cream for sure, Robin was right. Not a soap in the slightest. I prefer creams anyway, looking forward to testing it tonight after the gym.

I will add my ratings to Robin's existing review on the product; had he not been so kind and done a review, I would post one. Actually this is contradictory. Had Robin not composed such an enticing review on XPEC, I highly doubt I'd even be aware of its existence yet alone purchased it. Thanks Robin, if you do happen to read this.

The cream (soap?) is perfect. I'll state that my favourite cream is Pehanligon's, then Irisch Moos, Tabac and the Bomb. I have used Castle Forbes a few times but never took to it, I just found it a little boring. I have also used a wide variety of many others, but to avoid naming them all, not one has ever surpassed Penhaligon's.

2 years ago I though Prorasso was awesome. Now I know it will irritate me marginally on my 3rd pass. Pehanligons is perfect and its users will attest to this. Whatever Penahligons lacks, XPEC provides. Literally a few percent better in performance and that's it, if one is acquired enough to even criticize Penhaligon's, which I can assure you is not an easy task.

XPEC lathers beautifully not to mention effortlessly, and I need to remember to use even less than the already cautious trial amount I just used. Unlike others though, the lather on the 2nd and 3rd pass was even nicer than the 1st. It does not thin at all and does not dry either. I'm sure I could have got at least 2 more passes had I wished to.

I can not fault this product what so ever in terms of performance. There is simply nothing I'd change and I like the scent. I think its fair to say its rose scented and therefore I also think its fair to say that the scent will fail to appeal to the masses.

But for those who accept and like the scent as I do, you'll love this I am sure. Already looking forward to my next shave.

Greaaaat! I have had a bad case of SAD lately and this is fueling the fire. I just visited their website and sure enough, it is so enticing. Another entire product line I feel "obligated" to try!

They should buy a large quanity of XPEC, I'd imagine they would acquire it quite cheaply. I thought the price I paid was fairly reasonable.

And yeah, Caraceni is next on my list!!!!!
