Thanked: 12I also purchased 3 tubes of lime from india (maybe the same gentleman?) they arrived maybe 2 weeks after i ordered them and were packaged in the most god awful "envelope" (more like 2 pieces of A4 paper stapled together, the wrapped in tape) i had ever seen. being the first creme i had ever used i had nothing to compare it to except for my puck of ogallala lime+peppercorns. it was very cushiony but didnt offer the best lubrication, the finish was nice and i felt it left my skin hydrated. I then tried again, but with a bit of ogallala on the brush as well. The resulting lather was the best of the 2 mixed together, very cushiony with plenty of glide and a very nice finish. please keep in mind these words are from an amateur and should not be taken too literally in fear of dissapointment, YMMV.

Received my Old Spice shave cream. It must be the same guy. Came in stapeled together home made envelop from india. Kewl looking tube.
Tried it out.
It whipped up like I used WAY to much. It seemed to dry out / dissipate quickly for a cream. Not much in the lubrication. Not much scent.
It needs to be returned to as perhaps because I used too much it was hard to whip without going up my arm... I'll try less next time and see if I can get a thicker lather that lasts and lubricates.
So far using Proraso as a standard, I would rate about 6.5.

I kind of like the Old Spice cream myself. I picked up a couple tubes a while back from Classic Shaving. They had it for $5 per tube.

I've used Old Spice products for.....many many years let's say, but I did not like the shave cream. Just didn't like the feel.

Gave the Old Spice another try today.
Gives gobs of whipped up cream even when I used an almond size. But the lather just feels dry, and disperses quicker than it seems it should.
No real scent to speak of. Not much lubrication either.
Going down on my list. Giving it a 6.

Thanked: 190I remember the old ladies digging old spice and that was enough to steer me away as a young bachelor.
I like Mama Bears and used it when I was was in Europe for 30 days.
Cool to see OS still has a following from a "younger" generation.

If your not getting the staying power you want from the Old Spice cream you might try mixing in some MWF. That should give you a nice super lather

Thanked: 12I had another shave the other day with just the ogallala, i must say it was a much better latehr than just the old spice or old spice+ogallala. Im sure it would be great when mixed with a particular soap, but im not too fond of it at the moment. Not to say its horrible, it does give a good shave, but i am hoping for better from other creams when i venture out there.
