Thanked: 0"Stick" Soaps
I recieved a stick of Irish moos as a gift, and wanted to how others go about working up lather from the stick as opposed to a puck.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

This has worked well for me:
Do your normal prep, then wet your face. Rub the soap stick around on your face for 5-10 seconds. Wet the very tips of your brush and proceed to build the lather on your face, adding drops of water to the tips of the brush as needed.
These little guys are really handy when you're traveling.

Agreed. While the soap sticks are fun, and different to use, they really are for travel, more or less. The previous post is correct, that's how you use them. Once you work the lather up with your brush, it'll be loaded for your second/third pass....No need to re use the stick.

What I've found works best is a smooth, back and forth motion across the cheese grater.

Thanked: 1195I like them. It really doesn't take much loading to get a nice lather. I still wouldn't trade in my pucks for shaving sticks, but it is good to change it up now and then.

Thanked: 0Thanks to everyone for the responces. I tried the direct application this morning, and wasn't able to get much lather (hard water?). I'll try grating & packing some of the stick and see if I get any better results.
Thanks again,
