    Default The Bluebeard's Revenge

The other night I was on Amazon looking to buy a stone holder, It's easier for me to buy one online and have it shipped. Anyway, Since I've bought shave stuff before, They suggested, "The Bluebeard's Revenge" (Formal review to come) Shave cream. The container looked really cool with a skull and crossbones on it. It's from the UK, comes in a 180ml tub.

It's has a whipped consistency, not thick like Castle Forbes.
This stuff is awesome, Rich, creamy lather and lot's of it. I used an Almond size dollop, and easily could have used half. It has a very unique fragrance, Masculine. The lather and cream reminds me of Xpec, I know a lot of you never tried Xpec, but's it's a lot like that. Eats up water. You almost can't kill it.

Great glide, and when your done, your face doesn't even feel like you shaved, really wierd...Another thing, they will send a free shave brush for just s&h costs with purchase. I also bought their post shave balm, also an outstanding product...

You will not be disappointed with this shave cream.

I saw that on a shaving site the other day when I was talking to you about new shave crewams, but was unsure about it and couldn't find any reviews. Thanks for some feedback on the product.

    Rich,

When I saw this thread I thought that the name sounded familiar. It turns out that Rasage Poulin, which is a few hours south of me in Calgary, stocks it regularly. I might have to try some now.....

Ryan, You know me and shave creams, This stuff is off the hook..It's well worth the price, a steal, and it whips up very easy. I used a Simpson PJ2, (quickly becoming my favorite brush) I love the Skull and Crossbones logo.

The fragrance is really hard to describe. I even asked my gf, and she said, "Masculine"
If it was Sandalwood, Rose, Lime, etc..it'd be easy, but this one, I can't describe it...

    Default The Bluebeard's Revenge

    My dear Zib:

    This is ironic.

I had thought about ordering The Bluebeard's Revenge shave cream for some months. Soon it became an obsession. Finally, yesterday I ordered a tub, along with the aftershave balm.

Early this morning I came across this thread with my friend Zib's most informative comments on The Bluebeard's Revenge shave cream. What a delightful surprise. Thank you for your thoughts. Now I can rest assured I will like this shave cream.

    Regards,

    Obie

I read the claim about inhibiting hair growth...Bummer, but do you really think it's possible? It really is a good shave cream. I'll have to check out Mantic's youtube page.
    I've always enjoyed his vids....

Obie, Please share your thoughts with me...?

    Default The Bluebeard's Revenge

    Hello, Zib:

Yes, yes, of course, I will share my thoughts with you on the cream. It sounds good. I mean the name alone stamps the cream with a tone of individuality — The Bluebeard's Revenge.

As for the inhibiting hair growth claim, I don't know what to make of it. Then again, at this stage in my life I'll believe anything, including singing rabbits and dancing raccoons.

Should the claim have some substance, though, I might be a touch sad, since I've had this tough Assyrian beard all my life and now hate to have it neutered.

    Regards,

    Obie

I understand. I just visited Mantic's youtube webpage. He does mention he'll be testing for 30 days. He'll post the results on his blog. I may test it for a week, and see if there's any noticeable difference. I tend to doubt claims like that. I've seen products before that make such claims. They didn't work. I used it yesterday, and my beard is at normal levels...no reduction.

Here's some pics for your viewing pleasure. The box itself is an interesting read. They donate 50p from every purchase to the Firefighters. They claim after a few months use, it will reduce beard growth, decreasing the length and density of stubble which in turn makes your shave closer and more comfortable.

So, they claim you'll still be shaving....

All in All, it's the coolest looking cream in the collection. All the other soaps and creams are scared....
