    Default The Bluebeard's Revenge

    Hello, Zib:

Yes, yes, of course, I will share my thoughts with you on the cream. It sounds good. I mean the name alone stamps the cream with a tone of individuality — The Bluebeard's Revenge.

As for the inhibiting hair growth claim, I don't know what to make of it. Then again, at this stage in my life I'll believe anything, including singing rabbits and dancing raccoons.

Should the claim have some substance, though, I might be a touch sad, since I've had this tough Assyrian beard all my life and now hate to have it neutered.

    Regards,

    Obie

I understand. I just visited Mantic's youtube webpage. He does mention he'll be testing for 30 days. He'll post the results on his blog. I may test it for a week, and see if there's any noticeable difference. I tend to doubt claims like that. I've seen products before that make such claims. They didn't work. I used it yesterday, and my beard is at normal levels...no reduction.

Here's some pics for your viewing pleasure. The box itself is an interesting read. They donate 50p from every purchase to the Firefighters. They claim after a few months use, it will reduce beard growth, decreasing the length and density of stubble which in turn makes your shave closer and more comfortable.

So, they claim you'll still be shaving....

All in All, it's the coolest looking cream in the collection. All the other soaps and creams are scared....

    Default The Bluebeard's Revenge

    My dear Zib:

I agree with you on the quality of The Bluebeard's Revenge shave cream. It is superb. From the luxurious lather to the easy glide and the comfortable cushion, the cream floats among the top brands I have tried. The fragrance holds subtle notes of good and clean soap, which I like. I am most pleased with this cream.

The aftershave balm is also of high quality and I rank it among my top picks. The fragrance, although not overpowering, fails to please my nose, however. I think I would have preferred it without a scent. As a rule (Trumper's Coral Skinfood being an exception), I prefer a scentless aftershave balm. Still, I am glad I ordered it from our good friend BullGoose.

The Bluebeard's Revenge is good stuff.

    Regards,

    Obie

    Hi guys,
BrickBag is absolutely right about this...I had come across this creme before in my research, but what I had found at the time is that this creme contain Decelerine, which is a mixture of active ingredients* (see mixture formulation below with red highlight, which is the active ingredient) offering a complete post-shaving treatment. It targets its action in hair follicle cells and weakens new hair formation. Decelerine has been proven to inhibit hair growth and decrease the length and density of unwanted hair, thus reducing the frequency of shaving and depilation. It also seems that it also provides a soothing, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

    * INCI Name: Water, Glycerin, Barbados Aloe (Aloe Barbadensis) Leaf Extract, Lauryl Isoquinolinium Bromide, Psuedoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Polyquaternium-37, Disodium EDTA, Isopropyl Alcohol, Sodium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Allantoin, Glucose, Caprylyl Glycol.

The red ingredient is the actual "active" chemical.

I, personally, will not put any of this stuff on my face because I do not wish hair growth inhibition...I enjoy shaving too much

    Wink

This is not helping my acquisition addiction at all, not at all. SCAD has kicked in and the resulting tremors in my hands are bad enough that I've had to type this with my toes.

    Thanks ever so much.

    Ah well,

It's a great product. All the ingredients are deemed as safe and the UK are strict. It has been rebranded in the USA as Dreadnought.
