hello all,
I just tried Lucky Tiger the other day and it was really grand.
I have a limited shaving experience and a limited cream experience but everything about Lucky Tiger was just awsome.

What I have been finding is that the creams or soaps with some tallow or lanolin (Tabac, Musgo Real, Mitchells Wool Fat etc.) seem to provide the cushion, glide and moisturing that are a key component of an enjoyable shave for me. I really like Penhaligons, Castle Forbes etc, but find myself wishing they had some fat. So I picked up a bottle of lanolin and I add a few drops along with a brush load of Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap to them and get everything I am looking for.

I will say that I actually was not crazy about Castle Forbes. It is a very good cream, and the lavender scent was the best I have tried, but for the price, there were others that I found performed equal or better. If I had to make a top 10, it would be up there, but it would not be #1.
I'll throw a vote for Fitjar cream which in my opinion is the best I have tried. It is expensive also, but the scents are extremely unique and the performance is top notch. If you don't believe me, try the Telemark.
Oh, and I also love Musgo!

Top 10 Shave Creams . . .
Gentlemen:
My top 10 shave creams, in no particular order, are the following:
1. Castle Forbes lavender
2. Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet
3. Trumper's Rose
4. Truefitt & Hill
5. Institute Karite
6. Coates
7. Lavanda
8. Harris lavender
9. St. James of London
10.The Bluebeard's Revenge
I have yet to try Caraceni. When I do, I might add it to the list, or not. If I do, my list will be 11, but then too much of a good thing is fine with me.
Regards,
Obie
