    Default Favorite Lime Soap

I am looking to add a nice citrus scented soap to my rotation and am wondering what your favorite lime soap is based on both scent and lather quality.

I've tried SRD lime and like it (great lather/decent scent) but I'm not ready to settle on it and want to know what else is out there that people like.

If you have a favorite that is citrus but not lime I'd be interested in that too.

edit: I am specifically looking for a soap not a cream.

    Thanks!

For a more bitter lime, I like the Castle Forbes. On the other end of the spectrum, CarrieM makes a somewhat sweeter lime cream that is out-of-this-world. I do like the scent of the Classic Shaving lime, a lot, as it has a little clove or allspice blended in... unfortunately I found the lather to be a bit like using shampoo... very dry and light.

Heck, you might as well use this as an excuse to buy one of every lime product out there.

I'm sorry I should have been more clear. I am looking specifically for a soap not a cream. I too really love the CF lime scent.

I'd also agree with the nice scents with the Classic shaving line, great scents but sub-par lather.

Thanks for your reply, I may have to check out the CarrieM cream you are talking about in spite of myself!

Ah, well, I'm afraid I haven't used any really good lime soaps that I can recall. I do highly recommend the cream from CarrieM, the lather is awesome and the scent is just incredible.

I've never used a mama bear, but I've heard some good things. How would you compare it to SRD's glycerin soaps?

    KingOscar,

+1 on the Castle Forbes Lime

Great soap, but unfortunately it's a bit scalpingly priced

    Have fun !

    Best regards

Mama Bear carries several soaps with lime: Lime Ice (lime and menthol); Ginger Lime (ginger and lime); Basil Lime; Lime Glycerin (straight lime); at least one more.

Queen Charlotte Lime is also excellent. There are a couple reviews in the wiki if you're interested.

Queen Charlotte classifies their product as a cream-soap. It's a little softer than a hard soap, and more dense than a regular cream.

    Anyway...I love it.
