I used straight Williams for years with cartridge razors. There was really nothing wrong with it. Now, I use a generic glycerin with Bigelow to make an uber lather. I guess I'll have to try one of those high priced soaps sometime, but not just yet.

i grabbed some of the williams soap at my local cvs and found i liked it pretty well. at the time i was still using the cartridge razors but i switched to a boar brush made by van der hagen and a cake of their soap. i wasnt real wild about it but the williams i found to work well and i liked the fresh clean type smell to it. now that i have my straight and my rooney badger brush i found the badger didnt seem to lather the williams quite as well but the soap still seem to a decent job with the dovo. i think itll definitely work as a stand by. i know i still have a lot of soap and creams to try still =)
