Default I gave Tabac a try today

I already use Cella, and Mitchell's ( I really like both ). I decided to give Tabac a try. I had read a lot of positive things about it. It comes in a bowl similar in style to the Mitchell's, where the lid just lays on there by gravity. It lathers up easy enough, I used my badger brush to face lather, and even though the Tabac is a harder soap than Cella, it lathered up pretty nice. I have to say it really gives a great shave. I am hoping the smell of it will grow on me though, its a bit hard to describe really..

I need to step my game up and get some more soap myself! I'm having good results with Williams soap/Proraso cream mixture now, but I'm sure a better soap would help with the occasional razor burn I get. Thanks for your post!

I love Tabac, it's one my favourite soaps. It smells great, lathers like crazy, lasts for ages and doesn't break the bank.

I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good soap.

Tabac is my go to soap - all time everyday favorite! I have tried many diffent kinds - maybe a dozen plus all together. I use them in rotation, but still like TABAC for an everyday soap. I like the smell, the lather, the slickness, it last a long time and it's a best value considering the price! The lather holds up well too, meaning it doesn't melt away or disappear very fast. My absolute favorite is actually a cream - Castle & Forbes, but its really expensive and doesn't last as long as its a cream. I only use it occasionally for special days. I also like proraso cream as well. But for soap, I'll take TABAC over any of the others

    Gentlemen:

I love everything about Tabac: lather, cushion, glide and fragrance. This is good stuff. We've been together for a number of years.

I concur with the previous posters' high regards for Tabac. It is a great shaving soap--both in terms of fragrance as well as its more utilitarian qualities (ie. cushion and glide).

The only other shaving soap that I like as much as Tabacc is Mitchell's Wool Fat; and it costs 3x as much if you get it in a ceramic bowl like Tabac.

It is a great soap, for an extra boost, try adding a small amount of Tabac shave cream to the mxi for Uber Tabac....
