awwww, what a bummer ok then I guess I will take the one in that big wooden bowl and a nice aftershave if they sell one and a nice wooden storage box for soaps would be nice if they have that. count me in!

PM sent. BTW, i don't think the forum rules allow the organization of group buys on the open forum, so send PM's.

You are an EVIL EVIL MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK just for the sake of grin's....Where do I find this? Although SWMBO is ok with me getting more(she loves the smells and sits and enjoys it as much as I do), I am seriously dipping into my firearms money with all the wonderful things you advise me on.
Just once could you be wrong so I had just a hint of apprehension prior to dropping more cash???

    Hello, str8Shooter:

The last I looked Bull Goose had it, as well as Connought, in England. They're both good sites. I have a feeling you will like the stuff. It's no Martin de Candre, but nothing else is either.

    Regards,

    Obie

I just had my first experience with MdC. When the package arrived today (I bought a new jar from a fellow no the B & B) I felt a bit sick to my stomach for having spent so much on the soap ($63).

The stuff sure smelled good though.

I prepped and made about 5 circles of my brush on the top of the soap (which still looks untouched now). The amount of lather I created in my bowl was pretty amazing. My goto cream is TOBS and I'd say I got 2x the lather and from a much smaller portion. I have no idea how many shaves I'll get from this jar of MdC but it will be A LOT!

The scent is awesome and I got a BBS shave from 2 passes with my Dovo Bismark red. I lathered up and did a 3rd just because I didn't want all that lather to go to waste. In fact I let it sit on my face while I stropped my razor after finishing up! Yeah, it really is that good.

I still feel bad spending so much, but this soap does a pretty phenomenal job and I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of it. Honestly for the amount of lather I received from so little MdC i think it might last longer than the 3 or 4 tubs i could have bought of TOBS for the same price!

Don't feel bad - this stuff will definitely last longer than 4 tubs of TOBS. I may be an overloader, but a tub of TOBS lasts me only 1-1.5 months. MdC should easily see 6 months, though I think with the way I load I would go through it in about 6-9 months.
