Default The Magic of Martin de Candre

    Gentlemen:

Let me offer a small note about the magic of Martin de Candre:

A gracious and generous friend sent me a sample of Martin de Candre and I am forever grateful for this gift. Using a variety of brushes with both double edge and straight razors, I have spent a week on a sweet ride of unforgettable shaves with this remarkable soap. I don't know how many quality soaps I have used through the years, but Martin de Candre is in a separate category for me.

Lather, glide and cushion are unmatched by anything I have used, including Mitchell's Wool Fat and Provence Sante Verlaine. The fragrance treats the senses with a strong hint of peat moss and strains of lavender and mint. That you need only a few swirls of the brush to create a white cloud of luxurious lather adds another star to Martin de Candre.

The soap is pricey, yes, but I find it within acceptable range for superb quality. Shipping charge is what kills. It's surreal. Why so expensive I don't know. Will I order Martin de Candre? Yes, I will — when I get a few extra shekels in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, I might be able to squeeze one more shave from my sample of Martin de Candre.

Gentlemen, have you used Martin de Candre and what are your thoughts on what I consider a celestial shaving soap? Thanks.

    Regards,

    Obie
