For those who have used Cavendish Black Shaving soap..
I was wondering what exactly the aroma is? I have been trying to order from Colleen but apparently she wont be up and running any time soon, or at least that is what it said on her facebook page.
I have just heard great things about the scent of the Cavendish Black and Leather Neck but no description. Nor is there one on her site...

Cavendish Black has a scent that hints at a tobacco leaf, different than Tobac which is scented like the tobacco flower, at least that the story I heard.

So just tobacco? I only ask because I have some Cavendish tobacco and it seems to have some undertones... kind like vanilla and honey.. i was just wondering if it followed that same pattern.. Thank you for the reply though..

Thanked: 1195I don't have the cavendish, but I do have the Leatherneck and it's a very intoxicating, masculine scent. In fact I would recommend soley on scent alone, since I'm not a huge fan of TGQ's lather. If you like TGQ, as many do, I'd say pick up a puck and see for yourself.

It's not strong as tobacco but it does have the similarity. It's one of my favorites. Too bad Colleen has disappeared for the moment.

I would love to get a puck but Colleen is closed down for a while. On her facebook page in April she posted that there was unforeseen circumstances and she wouldn't be up for a while..
You don't like Glycerin lather? You more of a thick creamy lather then? like Mitchell's wool fat?

Cool I like em too.. But I got tired of paying that much and waiting for it to get here from england so I made my own lanolin based shaving soap... works and smells the same except I used more caster oil so it lathers a whole lot easier.

Both are excellent masculine scents. Hopefully she'll be back up and running soon. I'd recommend both of those.
