    I think just mixing menthol crystals into a bit of water and applying that as part of the lather creation process would infuse the desired level of menthol into any shaving lather. I would recommend a little container with a secure lid and allowing the crystals to fully dissolve. Then perhaps a dropper or if you feel confident careful pouring. Of course, you can customize the concentration of the menthol to compensate for user error. But by now you have a good idea of uber lather.

    See if you can find essential oil of eucalyptus. Then you can make your own mix of proraso inspired essential oils. Proraso also has some mint and camphor, as well as a few others ("fragrance" or "parfum" or whatever). I happen to have spearmint and wintergreen (but no peppermint, darn!) oils. It's fun to make your own. I've made my own aftershaves/aftershave-balm. Remember, you can always add, but it's much harder to subtract!
