TOBS Sandalwood Soap
In addition to the numerous Shave soaps and creams I've tried, I'm also fond of trying different bath soaps. For instance, Speick and Mitchell's Wool Fat both make excellent bath soaps. Both have the same fragrance as their shave soaps, and make ridiculous amounts of lather. You can load a "Poofy" or body sponge if your so inclined, and just have tons of rich creamy lather.
There's a ton of shops on the net that sell all kinds of soaps, Glycerin, Tallow, and Goat's milk to name a few, One shop such shop in blue ridge mountains specializes in Goat's milk soap called the "Soap Shed". Great for the bath, not so great for shaving...But...Showering and softening the beard is an essential part of our craft. Another shop called "Smallflower" also has an incredilbe amount of bar soap and shave soaps/creams available.
That's were I got my Speick bath soap. I also picked up a bar of TOBS Sandalwood bath soap.
It'a big honkin bar of soap, 200g. It's not cheap, it's a little over $9.00 a bar. but well worth it in my opinion. If your used to spending $1.50 for shave soap, this might not be for you, Not that there's anythng wrong with that, but every once in a while, it's good to spoil yourself.
If you like some of the higher end shave soaps and creams, You may like some of there bath soaps as well. MWF, Speick, and TOBS....I've found a new AD.....Last edited by zib; 06-09-2011 at 11:48 PM.

Thanks for the heads up! I've just been working my way through a bar of Nancy Boy body soap and it is a fantastic product. I'll have to add the TOBS to my list...

Thanked: 335Nancy Boy makes good stuff. Their (his?) shave cream, while a bit too much menthol for my nose, remains among my favorites for function on my face.

+1, I'm not fond of menthol myself, but I still have a tub of Nancy Boy. Works great...that's for sure...It doesn't get used much, like my Proraso...

Thanked: 1195I have a bar of the TOBS Sandalwood hand soap, which I'm sure is exactly the same as the body bar. You're right, great stuff but I think I paid $3 or $4 for the small bar, so definitely not cheap.

I may have to try this one. I'm a little picky when it comes to my body soap, but I am always willing to try something new.
I have been using Liz' handcrafted body soap lately and while their shave soap is a little lacking in what I'm used to I really think that her body soap is hard to beat. My biggest issue is that she doesn't have sandlewood. This may be the answer.

I'm telling you G, you'll love it. It is pricey, but the sandalwood scent is off the hook, as is the lather. It's a huge bar of soap as well....Who's liz...? Can you pm me the info....?

I think all the hair on my body would gang up and give me a swell beating if I'd buy anything called Nancy Boy.
