Thanked: 1936I've always wondered if distilled water would change opinions. Distilled water is the same no matter where you are in the world, so the results would more similar other than lather building technique. I've never used it to date...just wondering.

Distilling water for shaving...that's hardcore. Takes too much fun out of messing around with different soaps, creams, glycerine, what-have-you-not too. My girlfriend would change from calling me 'effeminate' to 'insanely obsessed' or 'shaving mad scientist' if I'd buy a distilling set-up. That and she'd probably make me distill my own moonshine for family parties. Wait a minute.....I think you might be on to something!
Where did I put those damn chemistry books?!!

Thanked: 1936Distilling it my tail, buy it at wally world for less than a buck a gallon. It would be the ONLY way that everyone would be on the proverbial same page when making a lather. Good luck and let me know how it goes...BTW, MWF doesn't do well with my water either.

I like the MWF bath soap much more than I do the shave soap. The shave soap is ok but it is NOT shaving nirvana. Like everything else involved with this wonderful daily chore, it is personal preference with no wrong answers. That is why there is such a plethora of different soaps, creams, razors etc. for us all to use. Life is good and far too short. Try as many shaving items as you can afford and wifey lets you get by with.
