+1 to that...SRD's Bulgarian Rose Otto is my favorite Glycerin soap. I'm not a big soap guy period. I prefer shave cream, DC, Xpec, CF and T&H to name a few, but I do enjoy a good soap now and then. QED used to make "Wild Rose" which was awesome. I also like any triple milled soap, or tallow based soaps. As of late, MDC really has me impressed. I know what you mean about French Soaps, right before MDC, I got a puck of La O'cctaine Cade. It's a top performer as well....

It's definately the glide for me. And when you have people who know how to create good scents that last and don't smell artificial, that spells W I N for me - Artisan glycerin soap makers FTW.

I do like like glycerine soaps as such I got lather and glide with be ones I have tried.
What's stopping me from using them is the terrible allergic reaction I get, my skin gets read and feel tight, as if I been out in the sun far too long. It happens with most glycerin based soaps as well unfortunately.

I just tried my first glycerine soaps yesterday, broke in my Pipe Tobacco and Masonic Lodge Mama Bear scents. The lather was incredible, really dense. Almost too dense, I'll probably water it down a bit. it was almost like toothpaste and I had a hard time getting it out of the brush and onto my face. I poured about a cm of water onto the soap itself, took a shower, dumped off the excess water, loaded my brush with soap, and lathered it up in a mug. I had the faintest of irritation, though, but it only lasted 5 minutes or so. But it may have been because my razor is due for a honing and I don't have the means at the moment, and my noob strop is all chopped up. The scent lasted a while, too, I noticed it after my aftershave had worn out.

I'm a big fan SRD's Bulgarian Rose myself. Good thing I have several bins of them to last a few years. I still haven't run the full corse of soaps yet, but I feel the aforementioned soap just may set my standard for glycerine based soap.
