Thanked: 13234+1 definitely a Shave Cream to try
The older Body Shop Cream was a touch better in cushion, but the new Macca Root Cream has a clean fresh scent and shaves way above it's price point IMHO It also might have a slight edge over the old formula on conditioning after the shave...
Price
6oz = $16
4oz =$10
as of today

I'd love to try this cream but I don't buy Body Shop products because of ethical reasons.

Thanks, bassguy. I love to hate corporations, so this really makes my day! I think my problem with the maca root stuff was the triethanolamine. I'm just not into that (although it's really into me..).

Gentlemen:
I have used a sample of Maca Root Cream and found it impressive. Lather, cushion and glide good. The cream also has ample moisture. The price is acceptable, too.

I'm curious why the Maca root is in the cream. I take it as a dietary supplement from time to time. I find it can boost stamina and physical performance, great for late night gigs or all day rehearsals. Maybe the protein structure is contributing to the lather? To say nothing of semen quality...

Guys, Watch the vendor bashing here. It's not allowed. Keep the posts about the product and use, etc..., and not company politics...
Thank you....Last edited by zib; 07-09-2011 at 02:31 PM.

Thanked: 1195Interesting read, but hardly convincing. Lots of hearsay, and the main evidence is from an article that's nearly 20 years old.
I like the Maca root cream too, smells nice and a good performer. I wouldn't dock marks for not being made by the English/European institutions, it should be judged on its own merits. Just my $0.02

Thanked: 0I bought a tub last week and love it. I also recommend the after shave maca root balm. The body Shop had at that time(maybe still have it) the buy-two-get-three option and I was able to buy also a cream for my wife. I think they also had buy-three-get-five products

Thanked: 485Yeah, I was wondering about the balm in the same scent; it's a nice scent; not strong but it does linger a bit. Currently I'm working out whether to use the Proraso pre/post creams afterwards, it seems a pity to hide or mix the scent, and the Proraso makes my normally oily skin even oiler. I'm not sure yet if I want to mix too many scents together, i.e. Proraso Pre/Post, Body Shop, Proraso, Pre/Post? I'm intending to get some Witch Hazel soon, with a mild scent. I guess you'd put the Witch Hazel on first and then the balm after?
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
