Thanked: 0I'm not entirely sure. I think the two tubes I'd bought had been stored with the tube upside down for a looong time. There was a layer of dust on the boxes when I bought them. But when I squeezed some paste out for the first time, it was really thick and hard and resembled some type of clear mint lotion. I soaked the tubes in hot water and it melted the base and oil together, and the resulting cream was softer and white. My guess is that if you use it often, you probably don't have to worry about the oil separation occurring.

Using Toms Shaving Cream (and their great toothpaste) was what made me stop using that foam in a can stuff. I realised I had essentially been shaving with water only until then. It eventually congealed on me because I never used it much. Just moved on to water only for most days. Today, I'd imagine it would be a great travel tube since you don't even need the brush for it. Hope it works for you, Glen.
