I agree with my friend Obie; Try Ye Olde Barbershop.

I've liked all Mama Bear soaps that I've tried.

Is the lather from MamaBear soaps any different than the lather from the SRD soaps ? ie: Slickness/glide/cushion for the razor, stays wet longer, etc.

I like the dublin tweed, rosemary mint, and cabin in the woods. Those are just the favorites of the ones I've tried, I have never been disappointed with any of the many I have tried.

my vote for trying the shave soap samples first. I just bought her full size version of the bayrum and absolutely hate the smell. To me it doesnt smell like the bayrum. This is an opinion and we know what they can be worth. Bayrum is my favorite scent shave soap and aftersahve of all time. I have tried several brands all which smelled very close to what I have been acustomed to and like. Plus, I have never smelled a shave soap that I disliked in this way. (purely on smell). It was a hughe suprise and disapointment to encounter something that I cannot absolutely stand. Things I did notice and have to compliment. Easy to get a good lather, decent lubrication and the smell lingers way longer then any shave soap I have ever tried. Two hours plus later I have gotten a whiff of the scent on my face even after pre shave lotion and aftershave. To me this would be an awesome attribute accept for my dislike of the smell. As many scents as offered it would be hard not to find something a person liked.

I'm currently digging on the Lime Ice but the Ages Spice is very nice too. Can't go wrong!

I want to try them all but haven't had the extra $$$ lately in the last three weeks I've had about 8k hit that wasn't planned for

I would love to try the Frankinscence, Myrrh (use an F&M goat milk soap to shower with that's awesome so I bet they'd be great mixed). I'd like to try the dragon's blood, though I'm almost afraid I'd have a reaction to it. I bet the sweetgrass and indian tobacco would smell like being at a powwow. Hey Mama Bear, how about a mixture of sweetgrass, indian tobacco, sage and a touch of cedar???? Talk about powwow memories!!!

I've never heard anything but praises for MB soaps. Then again, bears always do a great job

I have the following samples coming:

    Phoenix Rising
    British Leather Glycerin
    Cabin in the woods glycerin
    Mountain Waters Glycerin
    Brute Glycerin
    Awakenings Glycerin

Can't wait to give them a try! The only soap I have ever used is MWF. Thanks for the help everyone.

I have Masonic Lodge and Aromatic Pipe Tobacco. Pipe is OK, but I really like the Lodge. It's a musky, musty scent, and kind of reminds me of old libraries. The description on the website it spot on, it does smell like old books, old leather and wood furniture that's been polished with a bit of lemon oil. May not seem like such a nice scent, but it works.

I think I have 10, or 11 of her soaps. Not one is bad. Spellbound woods is awesome. Dublin tweed is great too. I actually like it so much, I bought the bath soap too....
