My razors are kept with my knives...I have no fear of being associated with our homosexual bretheren. Shave creams, colognes etc are randomly scattered between various bathroom and bedroom cupboards and I don't think anyone in the house (including me) has any true idea of just what, or how much of anything, I actually own.
I'm never get asked anything about my possessions, except for the occassional query as to why I need it, at the actual time of purchase. A question I just ignore with a look to her and a reminder of the wardrobes (note the plural) full of her clothes. Need just does not enter into the equation then.

When a new hone came in some time ago and I stacked with a couple others, my wife said to me, "You bought a bunch of stones? With our money? I don't get it--"

Reply would have to be something along the lines of, "You've bought a bunch of shoes, with our money...I just don't get it!"

Actually, my reply at the time was, "Straight razor shaving is a blast from beginning to end. And I don't get it either." And I smiled and that ended the discussion.

I don't have to plead ignorance. I seem to exude it naturally.

In my case the phone bill is my retort in regards to criticism levelled at my simple humble past-time. The phone is clearly her hobby, just because mine is drinking, vintage cuff links, cameras, drinking, vintage fountain pens, razors, vintage coffee cups, drinking and drinking I see no need to judge...

Oh, I also remind her have a duty to keep myself looking young and well kept so she can be proud of her man and feel lucky to have him because he could always go and shack up with all the other women who clearly would be joyful to welcome him...or words to that effect...
