I just ordered this as well, and have the Trumpers sampler coming already. Interested to see how the two compare, would be glad to hear others thoughts.

I got myself one of those sample packs as well and also found them to be very user friendly. I just did what I normally did: soak my brush and bowl while in shower, get out, empty bowl, squeeze out the brush a bit, almond size dollop of cream and they whipped up very nicely. Great fragrances and lather. I'm having a hard time picking faves and perhaps I'll have to get them all and alternate for my mood or day of the week lol :P Shave on!

+1, My exact sentiments on 1805 and lather quality.

I had mixed feelings on the 1805. The only one of theirs that I used. The shave was fine but it seemed to leave a lot of build up in the sink and on the equipment. Could have been my water ? Don't know....

I ordered mine straight from T&H, but SRD carries it as well.

I am definitely liking the TH creams better than the Trumpers. They seem to be creamier and slicker, while the Trumpers is a bit more fluffy to me. Trafalgar is my favorite scent so far, Grafton is nice as well, and I liked the 1805 a lot but mine did not have much scent to it.. could have just been the sample though? The samples go a long way, so it is taking me a while to get through it, I'm getting 3-4 shaves per sample

I ordered the sampler pack a few months ago and it was definitely worth it. I've been using 1805 since I started shaving, but I've found I really like the Grafton, Almond and, surprisingly, Rose as well. One thing I found interesting was the difference between the colognes and the aftershave/creams. 1805 doesn't smell exactly the same as a cologne. And incidentally @Jonus I visited my mother a few weeks ago and brought my shaving kit along with me. my 1805 left a film on my razor and sink, the reason? My mother has a water softener. My water at home is un-softened. Not hard mind you, but we definitely don't have a softener.

Yep. Have you ever taken a shower with soft water when your not used to it? It feels weird almost…sticky. I noticed it after my first shave there. Softened water uses a type of salt to bind with the minerals in the water. I can only imagine this changes how the water behaves and by proxy how it interacts with the soap.
