I'm glad I'm not alone when it comes to splurging ones hard earned cash! I've only just started out shaving with a straight razor, but as soon as I had one I was already looking for another - I now have two and shave with them on rotation. I originally got myself some Taylors Eton College cream, which smells great, and also an Arran Aromatics Citrus Bay soap which I also like - however I've only just ordered myself some Trumpers Eucris soap which should hopefully arrive in the next day or two. I'll need to be more restrained in future - I get married next June and there are other, more pressing things (according to 'her' of course) that require my pennies!

I can honestly say that without the difficult restraint I have forced on myself I would be going nuts over soaps, creams aftershave treatments etc. Really loving the talylor of old bond street sandlewood soap right now now. Picked up a Trumper's cocnut cream which is awesome as well. I think i will be gunning for a nice Lime soap next. You gota have a bit of veriaty in your soap/cream rotation I think. Could be doing with getting a decent badger hair brush, the one i am using an the minute is a sythetic type, it's ok and will do the job until i can afford a better one. The Invisible Edge do a nice Silvertip in a Rosewood handle for just under £60, that looks pritty good. Anyone tried it or know someone has?

My Penhaligons, which I ordered the day before my CastleFlowers still haven't arrived

But just received my 2 CastleFlowers and WOW WOW WOW !!!

Top quality products - nice casing, nice pot, for a plastic pot that is, and the scents - the lime a bit milder in scent than the lavender, but this just screams HIGH QUALITY FEINSMAKER stuff !

Just shaved with the CastleFlowers Lavender cream. Soaked the brush directly in the pot, then made a thick lather in my hand - enough for 3 full passes. What a great ShaveCream - strong scent, but quickly tones down to just a nice pleasant smell.

If the Penhaligons match this cream, I have 4 TOP TOP CLASS ShaveCreams in my possession

I would rate the CastleFlower Lavender like this:

Packaging: 9/10 - Nicely designed case and pot. A glass pot would have given it 10/10

Scent: 9/10 - There is a bit of clinic smell to the lavender, but still WHAT A SCENT !

Lather ability: 9/10 - Just dip the brush, add a bit of water and you can hand lather it and get a rich, creamy & thick lather

Shave quality: 10/10 - My Fusion just glided through the thick lather and already gave me BBS shave with just two passes.

Moisturization: 10/10 - My skin felt superb after the two passes. Fresh, clean, BBS & with a nice delicate scent of lavender !

Price: 10/10 - I paid £18 for this product, which I find very reasonable compared to what you pay for a Truefitt & Hill or Dr. Harris ShaveCream (I pay £15 for those products containing 150 g or 170 ml) You get 200 ml in the CastleFlower pot and WHAT quality for that price

Overall I give the CastleFlower Lavender ShaveCream: 9.5/10
