My concern - it states 12 months longevity on the bottles from I open them, hope they can last 24 months if I add a couple of drops of water from time to time in each tub.

I have to shave MUCH to use all these shaving creams

Uhm I didn't ask you to repeat the cream list, what are you using the creams with? You know razors and stuff...

    Ohhhh sorry....... !!

I have until now used an old Pils Sensor razor and a Silvertip badger brush and then my beoloved Gilette Fusion - yes, I like Fusion

But just bought this set from Mühle - Sophist Black Resin Fusion + DE Safety Razor with Silvertip 23 mm Badger Brush and small bowl built into the stand and then a single stand for the extra razor in the set.

Mühle Sophist Black Resin DE model R 44 SR:

Mühle Sophist Black Resin Fusion model R 44 F:

Mühle Sophist Silvertip Badger Brush Black Resin 23mm model 93 K 44:

And this Mühle Sophist stand with bowl:

And finally this Mühle single stand for the second razor - either the Sophist DE or the Sophist Fusion:

I've wetshaved for 20 years, but never DE shaved before.
I know that I will never skip the Fusion shave entirely, as I just like it very much - and can find dartridges online for better prices, but will never say never and would like to try and learn DE shave and use it from time time, when I have more than 10 minutes for my BBS shave.

I can BBS shave with my Fusion in 4-5 minutes, and I need to be fast in the mornings.

What kind of shaving equipment do you have ?

Oh my, I was only kidding about the fusion lol. It's considered the Voldemort of razors around here you know haha.
If you haven't noticed, this forum is mostly about straight razors, when you get used to your DE and have your lathering in check, you should consider upgrading to the best of the best in shaving.

I will try SR one day in the future for sure

What kind of blade are you using and what's your favorite creams/soaps ?

Fusion is expensive shaving, but VERY effective and NO cuts in BBS shaves that last less than 5 minutes........

I have a few different straights I use, I have 5 new ones most in use, but also a few vintage ones off eBay. The fun thing about this is that a $25 eBay special can shave as good as a $250

As for soaps/creams, my most used soaps are Cella, Martin De Candre, La Toja Manantiales, Dovo Eucalyptus, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Tabac and L'Occitane Cade. For creams, my favorite is hands down Penhaligons Endymion because of it's amazing scent, but I also use D.R. Harris Arlington, Akka Cappa 1869 and Palmolive Classic.

For me it's never about getting shaved in a hurry, but for those rare days I'm late I either use a DE or don't shave at all...

    Hey

    You have great taste

Especially when it comes to ShaveCreams

I can get away with 2.nd day beard at work but still never have time for long shaves in the morning so Fusion is awesome but expensive....

Will use DE when I have good time 2-3 times a week and then learn to use a true blade ASAP!

If you get hit by the bug, you'll find yourself getting up earlier to give yourself time for a good shave!
