WTB Martin de Candre
Can anyone recommend a link to buy this? Thanks in advance!
OR can anyone recommend something better? I've been using straights for less than a year now and have tried:
Mama Bear (barbershop and almond)
Proraso
Jack Black
I love the Proraso and Mama bear, but want to continue exploring.
Thanks! Haakon

Generally a WTB is not placed in the general fora. That's why the classifieds exist. This sounds more like a search for retailer though. MDC is purchased direct just google their site.
As for choice, there are a lot of other great brands available to you that won't cost an arm and leg. I would suggest trying: cella, bluebeard's revenge, essentials, al's shaving cream. There are a lot of possibilities.

It's true you can only buy direct from them. They have no retailers and the shipping costs will take your breath away.

Wish I would have seen that group buy! I want to try MdC, but I think the only way to do it very economically is to get in on a group buy.
To the OP, try Mitchells Wool Fat. I used it for the first time last night and IT IS AWESOME!!! Also, Provence Sante is very nice and it is my favorite smelling and second favorite shaving soap. I like soaps better than creams. PM me your address and I can send you a little Cella to try.

After they changed their website the shipping cost went down a bit. For a 170g tub of shaving soap, it's $61.5 shipped to the USA.
The shipping is $23 , which isn't that bad. You Americans are just spoiled with free/cheap shipping.

You may want to try La'Occtaine. Many shopping malls have a retail outlet, and it's available online. Tabac is also a good tallow based soap....I wouldn't say they're better, but just as good.
