I use Cade soap almost exclusively. It's a great, inexpensive, quality triple-milled soap.

I love the soap and I use it on a regular basis. I have never tried the cream personally, but I have heard from a number of people that it is not nearly as good as the soap.
To my nose the ASB did not smell like the soap and I thought it was a little too oily for me, but that is just my opinion. I will keep the soap in my rotation as long as they make it.

The Cade Soap is a great great latherer! The metal dish makes it pricey but is a one off purchase. The soap refills aren't that dear all things considered.
I'd highly recommend it or any of the L'Occitane range.
Oscar.

Thanked: 1195My first reaction to the metal dish when I saw it in person was that it felt cheap and looked tacky. Not worth it IMO. I bought the refill puck and placed it in a glass sugar bowl w/lid which looks far classier, at least to my eyes. Cade deserves better than a thin tacky metal dish

Update
I found myself making the 1hr trip to the city today so I made it a point to swing by the mall and pick up a puck of their soap. I chose to pass on the bowl as I agree with the others it's a bit tacky.
Of course I had to try it out a soon as I got home and am pleased to say I love it. This stuff practically lathered itself and it took no time to load my brush. It smelled amazing, as was stated in another post it is a little different than the cade ASB but in a good way. It did seem to dry out a little prematurely, think I just haven't found that sweet spot yet but I'm sure next time this won't be an issue.
Wish I was experienced enough to write a legit review but seeing how this is only the fourth soap I've tried I think it's a little early to do that so I'll just recommend it and leave it at that.

Definitely pass on the metal dish, it's not like MWF's nice ceramic bowl. I had an extra wooden bowl w/lid I used, or the small glass bowls with lids work great, like these:

These are stackable, definitely not as nice as the sugar bowls with glass lids, but functional. Since the bottom is tapered, the soap has to be molded to it.We have assumed control !

I have their original bowl and lid, the one people complained about getting patina, and in some cases, rust on. The one I have did get a lot of patina very quickly but never rust and I think it looks awesome. I agree , the newer ones are tacky.

Thanked: 146@Bottomfeeder, you may want to try face lathering, it helps to make a lot thicker lather. Its easier for me to add water right to the brush and then to the face to get it just right that way too.

L’ Occitane shaving cream is the worse shaving cream that has ever been made.
It is completely unacceptable. It cannot create lather that lasts more than 1min.
On the contrary, the shaving soap is of good quality.
Very good are also the aftershave balms, and with great scents, especially the levanter one. However, they are a bit more oily than others.
