In my CVS it was with skin stuff like Vitamin E oil, face lotions, etc.

At Target you can go to the pharmacy; at least at the Target I went to. They had a bottle of liquid glycerin. I asked why they kept it back there. They didn't have a very good answer.

If you want Lanolin, you can get that in the maternity section.

Hi Thez, I had thought about that, too. Glycerol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia is the article on Glycerin.

They didn't make me purchase the glycerin at the pharmacy like they might another controlled substance. I'm no chemist (American meaning) so I don't know how easy it is to convert regular glycerin to the explosive variety. I personally think they make you ask for it because it's relatively expensive for its size, so it'd be a major target for five-finger discount shoppers. Maybe they just want you to know you had to interact with someone who might remember you, sort of a deterrent to theft.

In any event, I was able to get mine.

I recently picked up glycerin at a local independently owned pharmacy. They had three different brands/sizes.

If you're in the Southeastern US, and there's a Publix supermarket near you, then you can find small bottles of glycerine in their First Aid section. And nearby is usually the laxative section, where you can find glycerine suppositories and stuff. Good luck finding some!
