Thanked: 8I found mine at CVS. In the Hand and face lotions aisle. I have had clerks in other places try to sell me glucose of all things.

It appears that it may be used in the manufacture of something or the other that someone one somewhere doesn't want everyone/anyone to have. So... It may be behind the pharmacy desk. Or a special order. So you may have to ask your pharmacist.
The same is happening in some states with drugstore sites selling razor blades by mail order. Some drug stores are no longer selling DE or SE blades.Last edited by Johnus; 03-12-2012 at 04:43 AM.

Thanked: 30Maybe it's just where I live, but I can't find it ANYWHERE. Not in CVS, Walgreens, Walmart...nothing. I ask for help, no one knows what I'm talking about. I've looked with the stomach remedies, skin products, nutritional supplements, and I'm SOL.

Thanked: 8CVS has a clear plastic bottle with a blue round dot with some gold like a crescent moon. It is called "Pure Glycerin". I found it over near the other face and skin lotions. Real near to Corn Huskers lotions.

Go to the pharmacy at Walgreens and ask them to order you some. 500 ml for less than $12.00.

Hey Bono,
I live in the Philadelphia suburbs too, but I go into Philadelphia often. I buy Rite Aid brand glycerine at the Rite Aid pharmacy on the corner of Market Street & 10th Street, diagonally across from Kmart. It's in the First Aid department. FYI, I asked one clerk who was stocking shelves if they carried it and she had no idea what I was talking about. I asked another clerk and she showed me where it was. Ya gotta keep asking until you find someone knowledgeable. Most folks have no use for glycerine so they have no idea what it is. These kids hired to stock the shelves get paid to fill the empty space, so I guess they aren't curious about the products they handle and the name does not stick in their memory.
Now, if you don't want to go into Philly, or you're at the end of your rope asking questions that elicit nothing more than a blank stare, you can order glycerine here from Drugstore.com -- 16 ounces foe $8.99. Heh -- one of the reviews was likely written by an SRP member. ;-)
Namaste,
Morty -_-

In some parts of the US they are becoming 'strange' about having it out on the shelves. Not sure what criminal act you can accomplish with it but in my part of NYS you have to ask at the pharmacy counter for it. Then they try to give you a package of suppositories and you have to explain ... No . And then they order it for you thinking it's for some sexual thing. Easier to tell them it's for your kids to make really big bubbles at a party!

I have had the same problem trying to buy it in a bottle. Walgreens and CVS, no luck. I finally got a 4 pack of the Fleet suppositories. They last a good long time and are also a convenient dropper. Nice for travel as well.
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
