There is only one way to describe it: like Tabac...

That sounds really stupid, but there is no soap that is comparible

These aren't necessarily the same scent, but they compliment nicely IMHO.

L'Occitane Cade cream, AOS Sandalwood soap, 5 drops glycerin
AOS Sandalwood cream, TGQ Cavendish Black, 5 drops glycerin
JM Fraser Mosswood cream, Mama Bears Northern woods soap, 5 drops glycerin

Also, when I want the performance of an uberlather with the scent of an amazing soap, I will use Saint Charles Shave's Unscented cream, <Soap of Choice>, & 5 drops of glycerin.

Now that's intriguing. I'll just have to try it myself.

That's one thing I like about threads like these. When I go on a shopping spree for more soap, I'll probably purchase something based on what you guys all post about.

    Thanks for the thread.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply use unscented soaps and creams and then add your own choice of essential oils and/or favorite aftershave?

It only takes like a drop of essential oil or a splash of aftershave to add fragrance to an unscented lather or you can add even more to your own desire. This would save having to stock up on the number of scented soaps and creams that would last out the century. I mean as long as you're already going through the trouble of rolling your own lather.

    Ogallala Samples

    Truefitt & Hill Samples

    Geo F Trumper Samples

    Sample Essential Oils $1

    Sample Colognes $3

Buy It Now samples on ebay...
